Tuning & Mechanical Liability Disclaimer
By purchasing, installing, or using any tuning service, calibration, software, or related product provided by Copper Calibrations, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following:
1. Vehicle Condition & Maintenance
The customer is solely responsible for ensuring their vehicle is in proper mechanical condition before and after tuning. This includes, but is not limited to:

Engine health
-
Fuel system integrity
-
Ignition system condition
-
Cooling system operation
-
Drivetrain reliability
-
Proper fluids, filters, and maintenance intervals
Copper Calibrations is not responsible for damage resulting from worn, failing, improperly installed, or poorly maintained components.
2. Assumption of Risk
Performance tuning inherently increases stress on engine, drivetrain, and supporting systems. The customer voluntarily assumes all risks, including but not limited to:

Engine failure

Turbocharger failure
-
Transmission or drivetrain damage
-
Fuel system failure
-
Overheating, detonation, or mechanical wear
3. No Guarantee or Warranty
Copper Calibrations makes no guarantees regarding:

Engine longevity
-
Horsepower or torque figures
-
Fuel economy
-
Reliability or durability after tuning
All tuning services are provided “AS IS” and “WITH ALL FAULTS.”
4. Improper Use & External Factors
Copper Calibrations is not liable for damages caused by:

Low-quality or incorrect fuel
-
Improper octane or ethanol content
-
Track use, racing, or aggressive driving
-
Abuse, neglect, or misuse
-
Environmental conditions (heat, altitude, weather)
-
Modifications not disclosed or installed after tuning
5. Data Logging & Diagnostics
While data logs and diagnostics may be reviewed, they do not constitute a full mechanical inspection. Undetected or developing mechanical issues may still exist and are not the responsibility of the tuner.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Copper Calibrations shall not be held liable for:

Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Loss of vehicle use

Repair costs
-
Engine or component failure
Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for the tuning service.
7. Customer Acknowledgment
By proceeding with tuning services, the customer confirms:

They understand performance tuning increases mechanical risk
-
Their vehicle is mechanically sound
-
They accept full responsibility for vehicle operation and maintenance
